Let me tell you a little about myself: I’m seriously addicted to knitting. And honestly, isn’t knitting supposed to be fun? For me, it absolutely is!
I only picked up my first pair of needles in 2012, so in knitting years, I’m still relatively new. But trust me, I’ve packed a lifetime of knitting into the past decade. I might just be that knitter who’s made more projects than some seasoned pros!
This blog has been part of my life since the early 2000s, though it’s worn many hats over the years. It started as a way to share snapshots of my life—adorable photos of my dog, updates about my family and grandchildren, and little slices of daily life—for friends and family far away.
But as my love for knitting grew, so did the blog’s focus. I started documenting my knitting adventures, sharing favorite tools and yarns (which often change with every project!), and posting tips, tricks, and techniques I’ve learned along the way.
Eventually, I began designing my own patterns. That’s when things really took off! Now, my baby blanket patterns are available here in my shop, as well as on Etsy and Ravelry. My goal? To create patterns that are easy to follow, beginner-friendly, and, most importantly, fun to knit.
These days, you’ll find me posting regularly on Instagram @candyloucreations, where I share my latest projects, sneak peeks of patterns, and behind-the-scenes moments from my knitting life. I’d love for you to follow along!
