Knitting the Crosswise Baby Blanket
If you want a project that is so simple yet squishy and cute, try knitting the Crosswise Baby Blanket. It’s knit with the garter stitch with increases and decreases, using yarnovers and K2tog.
This pattern makes a perfectly square blanket. This Crosswise Baby Blanket is 30″ x 30″.
I had lots of leftover skeins of yarn from knitting baby blankets, and decided to use them up by knitting a new one. I knit each skein until it was done. I love how the colors just flow, even the variegated yarns!

Needles
Knitpicks: Mosaic Options Interchangeable Circular Needles
Size 8 with a 24″ or 32″ cord with a gauge of 18 stitches per 4 inches
Knitpicks says it best: Combining Radiant’s bright, bold and warm boisterousness, the sea-inspired colors of Caspian’s oceanic hues, and the luxurious jewel tones of dignified Majestic, Mosaic gives you the usual strong and smooth layers of laminated birch in every color you could want. And the distinct sequence of colors will make finding the right needle size easier than ever.
