The Candy Kisses Baby Blanket Knitting Pattern is available on Ravelry and Etsy
There is nothing more enjoyable for me than knitting a baby blanket. This new pattern came out of a desire to finish off the third of my “kisses” series. My first Kisses blanket was Tiny Kisses and the second was Hugs ‘N Kisses. I always feel like things come in threes so I wanted to design another one to complete the trio.
Each of the blankets have a section that I call the “Kisses Section” which is a simple, easy to remember textured set of 4 rows of stitches.
When I first introduced Tiny Kisses, many of my readers and Instagram followers just loved knitting it. I’ve seen so many variations of this blanket made by the knitting community and it is so very heartwarming!

Needles
When selecting the right tools for bringing the Candy Kisses Baby Blanket pattern to life, it’s important to choose knitting needles that will allow you to work comfortably and efficiently. The recommended knitting needles for this project are size US 8 (5 mm) circular needles. These needles are versatile enough to accommodate the different stitch patterns in the Candy Kisses Baby Blanket pattern, while still providing a smooth and enjoyable knitting experience. By using the recommended knitting needles, you can ensure that your project turns out beautifully and that you can knit with ease from start to finish.
For this project I chose Knitpicks: Sunstruck Options Interchangeable Circular Set
I use US8 needles with this yarn, which is recommended on the sleeve of this particular yarn.

Yarn
For this project I chose a worsted weight yarn from Hobby Lobby called “I Love This Yarn” in the colorway Soft Pink and the colorway Crushed Raspberry
How much yarn should I buy?
Using worsted or aran weight yarn and assuming a gauge of 4.5 stitches to the inch:
(estimates are approximate)
Stroller: 250 yards solid, 350 yards multicolored for 22 x 28
Baby: 300 yards solid, 450 yards multicolored for 28 x 36
Small: 500 yards solid, 650 yards multicolored for 38 x 42
Medium: 750 yards solid, 900 yards multicolored for 48 x 60
