Knitting the Home Alone Moose Hat
This hat combines 2 patterns and is the closest I could get to knitting the iconic Home Alone Moose Hat. It is lined and is extra warm.

A Note About Fair Isle Knitting
I have learned everything I know about fair isle knitting from this book – 200 Fair Isle Motifs by Mary Jane Mucklestone. Nearly every fair isle project I knit incorporates charts from this book. Every fair isle technique I have learned has come from this book. If you are going to attempt fair isle knitting for the first time, or if you are experienced in this knitting technique, either way this book is essential in my opinion.

Pattern
This hat was knit from the pattern Kevin McCallisters Moose Hat incorporating the Moose Fair Isle Hat.
I used a provisional cast on and knit the hat. When finished, I picked up the stitches and knit a quick and easy lining which was tucked up into the hat to provide extra warmth.
