How much yarn should I buy?
Using worsted or aran weight yarn and assuming a gauge of 4.5 stitches to the inch:
This is just an estimate – quantities vary based on gauge and personal tension
Stroller: 600 yards for 22 x 28
Baby: 800 yards for 28 x 36
Small: 1200 yards for 38 x 42
Medium: 1700 yards for 48 x 60
Large: 2200 yards 60 x 80

Pattern
A note about gauge: Using size 8 needles gauge is usually 18 stitches for 4″. Gauge is not important in knitting a baby blanket. Depending on your tension, yarn used and needle sizes, this blanket may turn out larger or smaller.
With Size 8 needles:
For Stroller (Baby, Small, Medium, Large)
Cast on 92 (104, 116, 128, 140) stitches. Knit in garter stitch for 12 (12, 14, 16, 16, 18) rows.
Row 1: Knit across
Row 2: K6, P8, *K4, P8*, repeat * until 6 stitches remain. Knit 6.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until it is as long as you want.
