Knitting the Tiny Kisses
Baby Blanket Pattern
Here is a simple, textured, 4 row repeat baby blanket knitting pattern that is squishy and warm.
Begin with a garter stitch border, then follow the easily written pattern where you will purl a row, knit a row, purl a row. This knitting pattern is simple to learn and memorize and can be knit while watching TV and even reading! This is the pattern I often take to my knitting club because I can chat away while knitting this without worrying about making a mistake.

Skills
My favorite yarn for knitting baby blankets can be found here: Etsy baby yarn. I love buying from Etsy sellers. Help support their small businesses while buying baby yarn from so many different choices!
The yarn for this project is Bernat Baby Yarn in pink.
How much yarn should I buy?
Assuming a gauge of 4.5 stitches to the inch:
- Stroller: 400 yards for 22 x 28
- Baby: 700 yards for 28 x 36
- Small: 1000 yards for 34 x 40
- Medium: 1300 yards for 36 x 46
- Large: 1600 yards 42 x 50
Needles
For my blankets I often recommend Knit Picks Needles. These are the Mosaic Options Needles that I just love. The wood is warm in my hands and the joins are smooth.
