Pattern Notes
The Lionhearted Baby Blanket Pattern will teach you skills in knitting that will bring your knitting to the next level. The designs are made with knits and purls.
The leaf pattern is written out.
The lionheart is charted AND written out. The burnt pumpkin section is simply stockinette stitch and the outside and inside borders are garter stitch.
The blanket is knit all in one piece, simply adding a new color for each of the sections. The knit inside borders separate the sections.
Remember that there is a 5 stitch knit border at the beginning and end of every row. So for the Lionheart chart, for example, you would knit 5 stitches, slip the marker, knit the chart 4 times, then knit 5 stitches. The Right Side row is knits and purls while the Wrong Side row is purled for this chart section.
It is so much fun to see the lionheart face appear!
