Cuddly Soft Baby Blanket
The Cuddly Soft Baby Blanket is one of my favorite baby blankets to knit up when I’m short on time! Most of the rows are knit, some are purled, and there is a lace row of YO’s. It’s rated easy by ravelers but is interesting enough for advanced knitters as well.
The Cuddly Soft Baby Blanket pattern is available on Ravelry and also available on Etsy

Yarn
This project was made with Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn. I like to switch colors after the lace row. What a great stashbuster this blanket is! I used about 1/2 skein each of 4 different colors. The pattern is written for one color but I really enjoy switching it up.
The colors used for this project are:
- Rosy Cheeks
- Yellow
- Mild Green
- Soft Pink
I also like to buy my yarn from Knitpicks. They have a great selection and lots of sales. Pick out a worsted or Aran weight yarn that is washable. New parents prefer washable yarn for their baby blankets.
Using worsted or aran weight yarn and assuming a gauge of 4.5 stitches to the inch:
- Stroller: 400 yards for 22 x 28
- Baby: 700 yards for 28 x 36
- Small: 1000 yards for 34 x 40
- Medium: 1300 yards for 36 x 46
- Large: 1600 yards 42 x 50
