The pattern calls for 96 stitches and smaller needles. I used 72 stitches with size 10 1/2 needles. The pattern is in increments of 12 so the brim was knit in 72 stitches, and then I increased after 6 cm (the knit row) by 12 and then the next row by another row for a total of 96 stitches. The hat is still too big given the stretch, but I will sew elastic in the brim to make it snug.
